Cultural Oases – Spaces for a New Culture of Coexistence The Cultural Oases are an initiative by people seeking new ways of living together. Many feel that our society is increasingly shaped by materialism, economic interests and geopolitical conflicts. We wish to offer an alternative to this: places for encounter, creativity, spiritual development and shared responsibility. A Cultural Oasis is a space where people can come together to exchange ideas, learn from one another and develop joint projects. The focus is on cultural, social, spiritual and practical initiatives that contribute to a more humane and life-affirming future. A website is to be created to support this network. It will connect people and offer the following opportunities: Presentation of cultural oases and their activities Exchange of thoughts, experiences and suggestions Comment functions and discussion forums Planning and announcing meetings, events and projects Formation of working groups on shared topics Support in establishing new cultural oases The website is intended to become a vibrant meeting place where people can contribute their skills and ideas. Together, we can realise projects underpinned by mutual appreciation, creativity and a sense of responsibility. Our aim is to create a network of cultural oases that connects people across regional and national borders who wish to contribute to a cultural and spiritual renewal of society. My current aim is to find people who would like to collaborate on the conception, design and development of such a website. Such spaces can also be established outside the German-speaking world. I am already in contact with someone in Denmark who might be able to take on the technical implementation. At the same time, I am open to further possibilities and would welcome people with experience in web design, programming, community building, editorial work or project development. The website is intended to be a collaborative project from the outset, driven by the ideas, skills and input of many people. Anyone interested in helping to bring such a platform to fruition is warmly invited to get involved.
