Kulturoasen – Orte für biodynamisch-ökologische Dörfer und Gemeinschaften in Norwegen/Cultural Oases – Places for Biodynamic-Ecological Villages and Communities in Norway
Description:
This concerns Møystad Økotun.
Møystad Økotun could not be realised in collaboration with Nordbolig when material prices and interest rates rose sharply. However, we landowners believe that there is still both interest in and a need for a more self-sufficient way of life and a stronger sense of community. We would therefore like to sell the plot to a residents’ initiative so that the project can be realised with more community involvement and without the additional costs of a property developer and main contractor.
Møystad Økotun comprises a 26-acre, fully approved plot for up to 18 residential units, a community centre and a service building. The site has fertile soil and its own water source. The ecovillage is located 6 km from the centre of Hamar, with good bus connections and a continuous footpath and cycle path leading all the way to the town centre. A school and nursery are just 700 metres away.
The plot is the first (and perhaps only) in Norway with such planning regulations, which allow for extensive cultivation, food production and community-based solutions. Preference will be given to a resident-led initiative.
Price: 5 million Norwegian kroner.
Second site – Veikåker, Buskerud
The second site is located in Veikåker in Buskerud. The area covers 37 mål, making it significantly larger than Møystad. It also boasts a particularly beautiful location.
Møystad Eco-Village
This concerns Møystad Økotun.
Møystad Økotun could not be realised in cooperation with Nordbolig when material prices and interest rates rose significantly. However, we as landowners believe that both the interest in and the need for a more self-sufficient lifestyle and a stronger community are still present. Therefore, we would like to sell the site to a residents’ initiative so that the project can be realised through greater self-effort and without the additional costs of a commercial developer and contractor adding margins at every stage.
Møystad Økotun comprises a 26-acre fully zoned site for up to 18 housing units, a community centre and an operations building. The land has rich soil and its own natural water source. The eco-village is situated 6 km from the centre of Hamar, with good bus connections and a walking and cycling path all the way into town. The local school and nursery are just 700 metres away.
The site is the first (and perhaps the only) one in Norway with planning regulations of this kind, allowing for extensive cultivation, food production, and shared community solutions. Preferably sold to a residents’ initiative.
Price: 5 million NOK.
Second Site – Veikåker, Buskerud

I am looking for:
We are looking for people who want to create cultural oases in Norway – built around biodynamic-organic and permaculture agriculture – and who have the desire to establish cooperatives, housing projects or similar community initiatives to take over and develop the land.
I offer:
We offer the joy of participating in community and collaboration for new social housing models and communal living – in a time that requires new ways of thinking and seeing.
